Another gun free busride.
Another town.
19 days to go in Central America.

Saw the Copán Ruins today, they are pretty good with lots of ´stellae´carvings (stone totem poles) of mayan Gods, who had the best names, like Smoke Monkey, Smoke Jaguar, and Quiet Dawn. The setting was nice, junglous, good lawns, birds, a thunderstorm for atmosphere.... it´s a bit like the Inca stuff though, once you´ve seen three your enthusiasm strats to wane, luckily we have only seen two, so still loving it, and if we see another one it will still be ok but if we don´t it won´t be the end of the world. It is sometimes hard to imagine the socities that lived there, I may need to see Apocalypto again for ideas. They certainly were a bloodthirsty lot though, sacrificial altars everywhere, they even sacrificed Jaguars, now that woulda been something to see, apparently the priests did the rituakls after eating loads of magic mushies, crazy times indeed!

Should be on the Bay Islands by tomorrow night, woohoo.
We have started taking anti-malarials for the area, somehow we ended up with Larium, banned in USA and UK (at least) for its psycho side effects, so Simon and I are assessing each other as potential psycho killers at the mo. He says I beat him up in his sleep the other night, and double legged kicked him out of bed! ha! And he is definitely acting wierd, we have a Kermit keyring for our room which he has not stopped making breakdance for about 4 hours. Crazy stuff I know.

Anyway don´t expect too much contact, internet is apparently $14 an hour on the islands, money better spent on watersports I think.
