I LOVE CANADA.

We get more fresh air.
We met all Simon's mates in Vancouver, it was really goodto see all and getup to Whistler together. It's a great bus ride up here the scenery is absolutely amazing, with fir trees   and glacial lakes.

We stayed the 1st night in the HI hostel, it's right on the most beautiful lake and the sun was shinign and we layed int ehgrass and chilled right out. Then we had to run in to town to the welcome drinks where we got well sozzled and suffered all the next day which unfortunately was 'sports day' where England/Australia played Canada in 'Cricket Ball' Australia won the cricket while Canada won the Baseball, surprise surprise, I was pleased to get a 4 in the cricket and a run in the baseball, even with a hangover! Amazing setting playing sports surrounded by snow covered peaks and fir forests.

Before the game we changed hostels, this one we had the pleasure of seeing a mama bear and her 2 cubs that night - WOW, going thru the bins which is very naughty and they shoot them when they become a pest but we didn't see many others so it was a great sight, sitting in the hostel watching the cubs play in a tree for a good 10 minutes.

The wedding realyl was super, the bride was beautiful, the vows were lovely, the best man's speech went well and everyone had a great time dancing the night away. I rediscovered my love for Champagne. And the backdrop, again, was amazing, what a pleace to get married. It was Nicklaus North Golf Course, which I think is a pretty good course for all those golfers out there. Oh, andyou should see how well Simon and I scrubbed up with a bit of duty free make up and some big favours from the family back home THANKYOU AGAIN!!!

After the wedding we finalyl had 'free time!' to walk and stuff.
We went for a great walk up Rainbow Trial which was stunning, and hard core, 20kms, half up mountains! There was still snow up there which is amazing for winter. And I saw the back end of a big bear, but he was gone for all money which we were pleased about as they are vicious sometimes apparently.
We also walked up to some giant Cedars which are over 1000 years old, made me miss big forests. But not mosquitoes, they weer as bad as the Amazon man!!!
Also got some swimming in, and didn't catch 'swimmers itch' whatever that is it doesn't sound nice!!!!

SO Canada is our surprise favourite destination, our only disappointment is not staying longer, we will definitely go back there soon, in any season, but SUmmer was great, and there was still snowboarding! Crazy.
