Hi everyone!

Just a short update to let you know that we've had a small change in travel plans. Due to the financial crisis, the KPMG Wollongong office doesn't have enough work to keep Brian busy! So, the Australian partners put their heads together to decide what to do. Their solution: send us to Cairns (in 2 weeks) for 5 weeks, then send us back to Wollongong for the final 6 weeks of his secondement. For those of you who may not know, Cairns is located in Queensland, Australia, on the northern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. It is their winter right now and is about 25-30 degrees C every day. We aren't too upset about the news!

So, Brian will work the next two weeks here in Wollongong. We are going to Sydney next weekend to check out the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, etc. and to meet up with our Finnish friends (who we met in Fiji)...should be a lot of fun! Shortly thereafter we'll catch a flight up to Cairns.

Once in Cairns, we plan on doing a lot of scuba on weekends...we were going to go up there during our month of travel after the secondement, so now we probably don't need to! It'll be an excellent opportunity to see the place with our flights paid for...wooo! Needless to say, all of this moving around is throwing a wrench into my job plans, so I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do. I think being a beach bum is a great idea (Brian even offered to buy me a metal detector for beach combing...haha), buuuuuut I should really try to make some moola! So I'll look into some temp agencies (if they have any) in Carnes once there. Not sure...work in progress I guess! :)

I've attached a few pics of some visitors we had on our balcony the other day. I was shocked but grabbed the camera quickly...so pretty!
