Thursday morning, we woke up early, refreshed from a long, good night's sleep. We packed up our tent and belongings and were off for Atlanta. After a three hour car ride, we arrived and checked into our hostel (which Ethan investigated and discovered was a former brothel). Jill was very excited about the prospect of sleeping in a lovely, comfortable bed again - no bugs for two whole nights! We then went out for lunch at this awesome, really yummy restaurant called the Flying Biscuit, an organic breakfast and lunch place. It was so good! The biscuit Ethan got was amazing. It was off to Margaret Mitchell's, the author of Gone With the Wind, house after lunch. Jill was super excited about this. We got to tour "Peggy's" house and learn about her life before and after the book. It was inspiring. After that, we took off for the Center for Puppetry Arts. We got to see a dated documentary of Jim Henson's favorite puppeteers, as well as some of his puppets (Dr. Strangepork, for one) and a varied collection of other puppets from around the world. For those who might visit, beware of the first room! We finished the day by going to a cool alternative restaurant that served food like the "Coronary Bypass" burger and an intoxicating pink drink called "Barbie's Bathwater." We also explored a popular bar/club area called Buckhead.
