Goal: Go to a Concert

I slept in late since I have a late night out tonight. Then I went for a run in the neighborhood to continue my training program for the 5k run. I figured out a route that would be close, but as I was running, I looked up at my right and saw the skyline of Manhattan right there at the end of a street. People live there with that view outside of their window! It’s amazing. I didn’t even feel like running, even thought it was down- and uphill.

Looked at the bus schedule to see what time the bus would be at the stop. Apparently it comes during the midday only once per hour. Weird! But I got there on time, the bus arrived. I had my money ready this time. You have to give the exact amount of money (3,20) Too bad pennies are not allowed. By the time we arrived at Port Authority there was a delay and soooo many busses. I don’t find it weird to see it gets disorganized. But I knew where I had to go and what I needed and everything. It was a glorious moment! I went with the subway to Union Square, where later that evening the concert would be. I looked around a little bit. Saw about 15 drinking/sleeping homeless people in the little park. I wonder why I start to dislike parks a little bit…

After I found the Irving Plaza, I could go in line. A whole bunch of people were there. Through the
email I knew I had to go look for a so-called Will Callbox. Internationals can get their ticket right there after you already paid for them. I figured the line would come across it. It did after standing in the cold with a summer jacket for two hours. The concert consisted of three artists; Andrew Ripp,
Parachute and Andy Grammer. They were all good and funny as well. On the way back I was a little afraid to use the public transportation system again, but it turned out fine. I knew exactly where I needed to be, even in Port Authority-station. I only saw about 20 homeless people sleeping/drinking, going to trash, drinking whatever they found. I start to wonder what about the city that attracts me this much.
