At last the adventure is underway!  We spent the last 2 weeks in a hotel in Broomfield while the kids finished up the school year, living out of suitcases and eating icky continental breakfast, shedding lots of tears as we said goodbye (or at least see ya laters) to family and the good friends we have made here in Colorado, but now we are finally on our way.

Val, Becca and Tristan flew to Kansas City on Friday night while Jerry began the dreaded trek across Kansas with a 14 foot UHaul truck on Saturday morning. Val and the kids stayed at her sister Suzanne's new decked-out house in Overland Park while Jerry spent his time in Lawrence, KS (home of the KU Jayhawks!) with his best friend Bill and his girlfriend Teresa to share some laughs and talk about fishing over a few beers and the Nuggets playoff game (they lost, dang it!).  After a fine breakfast at Milton's on Mass street, Jerry rejoined the family in Overland Park, at Suzie's house.  Suzie and Bob offered to drive us down to our next destination (thanks guys!) as only 3 can fit in the truck, and so the caravan started the trek to Jerry's mom's house on Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri.  We arrived to a house full of family and friends and had a fine evening of burgers and beer and catching up.  We will be here for a little over 2 weeks, relaxing with family, playing with the lake toys and hopefully catching lots of fish!
