Our earliest start at 6.50 am to get miles done before today's rain which is due to start at 1pm. Also because we were camped by a VERY busy road which woke us at 5. We had a soaking wet night with a bit of tent leakage but nothing too serious.
We decided that getting home in one day was too much so we phoned Pat and Pam who started the trip with us and asked if we could stay with them. This gave us a target for a dry comfortable night. The last 10 miles took us 3 hours as our legs became more and more weary and the hills steeper and more frequent. Various hazards were encountered during the day including a fallen tree over the canal towpath, 2 flooded roads, difficult stiles where everything needed lifting over one at a time and steep steps. No pictures we are on mission to get home!

Have a great day on your ride home. A fantastic achievement especially with the spring weather!!!
Mind the pot holes.

I like the sound of the rain on the tent in your video! Thank goodness you didn't have heavy winds thrown in! Have a cozy dry night tonight.

Loved the video ... hope that the last few miles go ok!
