Another long ride on the coach got me to Buenos Aires. This one wasn't too bad because the bus was big and comfy and I got a decent night's sleep. At this point, I started to accept that the days of having a backpack and walking around the city were gone. When arriving somewhere I needed to tug my big suitcase in addition to my backpack. This may not seem like a big difference but trust me, it adds up.

I had the luck of meeting a long lost friend via the magic of Facebook. I hung out with her and her husband and we went to a nice café in the old neighborhood of San Telmo. The neighborhood was known for having tango in the square and lots of antique shops. Afterwards, we hung out at a market and looked at some of the antiques there. There a really cool old toy store and I found a Fisher Price Viewmaster! =)

In the evening, I went to the Konex where they had cumbia. I didn't quite fit in because I wasn't mainly there for alcohol & misc. substances but dancing to the beats was fun.

My impressions of the city:
– HUGE
– Animated
– Fashionable people
– Relatively green
