A definite highlight was going to see the ATP clay court tennis tournament in Viņa. It was really exciting because it was the first tournament that Rafael Nadal was playing in since returning from his injury. Unfortunately, this meant that prices for tickets also tripled after the news came out that he was playing.
Since it was a small tournament, it was great to be able to sit so close and feel close to the action. Watching the tennis in the sunny weather made me wish I was playing too. We got to see Nadal and Monaco play doubles, as well as the veteran Robredo and a younger player called Zeballos (a lefty) who later beat Nadal in the finals.
The day further confirmed that I'd like to live in a sunny coastal area so that I could continue to enjoy tennis in the future – both watching and playing.
