After a long night out, we slept in and had a wonderful brunch of empanadas. They are like gourmet hot pockets (or British pasties) and are filled with different kinds of meat, seafood and vegetables. I ate three... and a half.
A friend and I decided to venture out to the beach and take a walk there. I took a short swim in the cold waters and then sunbathed. (That's what I had been waiting for!) Saw a few interesting sights along the water and then had ice cream. With the exchange rate, it seemed like prices were incredibly high but it's about $500 Chilean pesos to $1. =) Then we walked back and saw a nice sunset on the way back.
Later in the evening, we went to a pub called Café Journal and ate chorrillana. It was like chili cheese fries but with egg instead of cheese. They're really into the mayonnaise here and salt. Everything seems to have lots of one or the other. Also, I drank a Kunstmann Miel, which is a type of honey beer. It was a sweet beer, but I really liked it.
