The past Saturday, we had the first severe sandstorm. I knew that a day like this was imminent and luckily, it happened mostly while I was still asleep.
I woke up at 10am in the morning, and noticed that the light into my room as eerily orange. Upon looking outside, the windows showed me a world that I had never seen. The entering light that used to be filtered by grayish smog was now tainted with heavy orange. It seemed like I were still dreaming... or as if, for a moment I were on a Martian planet. I wish that I had the energy to take a photo but instead, I went straight back to bed.
Strangely enough, the sky became clearer as the day progressed. The intense wind (which no longer carried the sand and dust) even revealed hints of a blue sky towards the evening and it was then when I felt it was ok to be outside. ;-)
