A 10 hour layover in an airport without AC is not necessarily ideal, but knowing I'll be in Kenya soon is definitely helping!
Sarah has safely arrived in Nairobi and emailed me that she would be there to pick Kristin and me up at the airport (at 5:30am!) What a good sister!
After a quick flight from Boston to New York, we sat on the runway for half an hour before getting off the plan and hurrying to our connection to Ghana. The plane loaded in record time, and we started taxing out right on time. Then we stopped. Then we went back. Apparently, a member of a family with a special needs child lost their passport, meaning they could enter neither Ghana or the US. This caused a slight delay. 3 hours (and one de-boarded family) later, still sitting in our seats on the plane, we taxied out again for our 10+ hour flight. The flight itself went quickly and smoothly, and we arrived in Accra, Ghana only 2 hours late.
We're going to try to learn some Swahili to pass the time, and will hopefully be in Nairobi before we know it!
