...but tomorrow is my last day. I've been the only one here for about two days now, after all the noisy English girls went on Saturday and the French on Sunday. The family are nice, and they have a very fluffy cat who's licking my hands and trying to distract me from the keyboard. I'm not sure how much I said about where I am before, so if this is repetitive then tough! From April to December they run surfing holidays where you stay in the house and live with them, and Stephane the husband teaches surfing. The wife, Claire, also teaches, but she's pregnant and very tired so she's having some time off from that and her two other jobs. Three, if you count feeding hungry surfers twice a day for about 9 months a year. Four, if you count running after her 3 year old son, Justin. The French education system means he's at home all day Wednesday Saturday and Sunday, and has to be picked up every lunchtime and dropped off after he's eaten. It makes me tired just thinking about it! As its just me at the moment I feel like one of the family. Last night they took me to the French Basque country to have dinner with Stephane's parents, in their 300 year old house!

The surfing is finished now, because tomorrow is my last day :-( the first few days the waves were quite small, which was good for learning, and now they get larger so I can surf longer...or fall off further from where I stand up! As I've been the only person I get a lot of tuition and tips, and apart from a tendency to drift in the current its great. I used a different board today which was much faster, but also a lot heavier so by the time you get deep enough to surf, you're exhausted and not exactly ready to surf! After surfing in the morning I either go cycling in the woods, or into town, or sleep. We've worked out how to get the satelite working so this afternoon me and Justin watched German MTV.

On Thursday I'm off to Toulouse for one night. Stephane told me that the uni students don't have work on Fridays, so Thursday is a good night to go out. Hopefully I can get a bed near the centre and try and find Fin and Jack's industrial club...

Well, I need to feed the cat and then myself and try and track down all my sandy belongings. Hope everyone is well and happy!

Sorry for these bits at the end, its easier than sending individual emails...

Dad - glad the DVD thing is going good. You can have as many a month as you can watch. Just keep sending them back and they'll keep sending them out! If you've not seen it already put Naked Lunch back on the list, its very funny and might appeal to you :-) and Mum, if ABN do send you to NY, make sure there's some floor space for me to visit!
