Hello or Bula! as they say here in Fiji. We've also discovered that "vinaka" means thank you. For those of you back home we wish you a Happy St. Patricks Day. And even though he won't read this, happy bday to Cargill. Yesterday we flew into Nadi, an hour and half late. There were troubles with our plane so they had to fix it first. We're disappointed that we didn't get Qantas again, we had Air Pacific instead. But they gave us a good meal and free beer and they showed the movie "flushed away", so we were pretty happy with that. We arrived at 10:40pm local time, and found our shuttle to our hotel, Nadi Bay Hotel. The hotel was nice and pretty cheap but we went straight to bed since we had to be up at 7:00am which is something like 5am in Australia, to get another shuttle to the harbour to boat to Beachcomber Island. We drove through some of the residential areas, many of which were pretty run down. There was a rooster walking around one yard and a few cows in another yard without a fence, one of which had a leash on. We took our boat to Beachcomber. We got to pass some other cool looking islands on the way. We didn't get dropped off on the island, they transfer you to a small motor boat along with your luggage (that you just hope makes it on the other boat without taking a swim). We pulled onto the island and they showed us to our room after checking in. It's a pretty cramped dorm but we'll deal with it. We decided not to cheap out, Keith had told us that it was worth the money to rent the beach chairs and umbrella's, and it WAS worth it. Especially since the sun is so hot and the only thing to do here is lay on the beach or play in the water. Anyway, not much else to report, the internet is pricy here and we're running low on money. So we probably won't write back until we find a cheaper internet, which may be Los Angeles, but we'll try to do one sooner if we can. Sorry about the lack of pics posted lately, we'll show them to you when we're home soon! Gotta run!
