For pictures in Sun City - check out this album on Snapfish.

Below are the thumbnails of video clips of us going down on a foofie slide or as the rest of the world would know it as a zip slide. It's the PRONUTRO ZIP 2000 ride, aka the longest zip slide in the world.

The zip slide is 280 meters high, two kilometers long, reaches a speed of 140 kilometers per hour and guarantees a four minute unadulterated adrenalin rush. This is what we decided to do on our two year anniversary =)

"You are secured in a harness and suspended below a free running trolley that is attached to a steel cable. One experiences the feeling of flying and acceleration as you descend down the wire. At times 100m high and at other times only 4.5m above the ground. The cable runs from the top of the 280m high koppie (hill) and the other is attached to the top of a mast 2km away. Towards the end of the ride, your decent is slowed as you go uphill, then roll back to the lowest point on the wire where you dismount the ride. You can ride solo or tandem." Note - the heavier you are, the faster you will travel =P

This clip is taken from the start of the ride. Begins at the top and ends all the way at the bottom =)
This clip is taken from below of my mom soaring in after us =P yup ~ we got her to do it too! hehehehe!

PS: the video clips will most likely take a bit of time to download in a separate window, so if you don't have a steady, strong internet connection or the time to wait for it to download - I would suggest to attempt to view the clips when you do. Hope you get to see them =) enjoy! (note - there is unfortunately no sound to the clips)
