There's a kitchen magnet on the fridge here at my folk's place that says "Home is where your mom is". And sure enough - we were welcomed home by my mom & dad who were smiling gleefully in the front row at the East London airport arrivals terminal. Unfailing in their lack of documenting anything with the camera.
(which I must say - as much as I may moan about it at times... I do appreciate it when I look back again and take a moment to remember everything at that time.)
Later on the evening of our arrival, we were also greeted unfailing by the fellow filipino families that I grew up with. When ever someone is coming and going, or there is any sort of celebration - there is a get together... which is essentially an excuse to hang out and socialise and EAT! =) It was good and everyone got to meet Bruce. He managed well in trying to make out what everyone was saying to him, because a lot of them do have accents that if you haven't been around often enough may be slightly challenging to understand. But he was a star and did great with getting to know everybody.
The next day we went for a nice early morning stroll to the beach that I live only a few minutes away from... Nahoon Beach. There's been a boardwalk that's been added on, which is pretty cool... just as this first week has been. Good Times =)
