Where I stayed
What I did
Beach again...lazy bitch
So today the sun was here to stay, which obviously could only mean a day spent doing bugger all on the beach. However, given yesterday's 'mild sunburn' (ie a red raw back that any Scottish person would be proud of), sunbathing and indeed swimming involved wearing a t-shirt. Which meant I billowed around in the water like a bloody parachute. Still, I could well get used to this doing bugger all and just reading, eating and drinking all day. Maybe I could be this generation's Judith Chalmers. Although i may still have some way to go on the 'creosote tan'.
In the evening went out for some food, to what can only be described as an Italian/Mexican 'fusion' restaurant. Well not so much fusion, one half of the restaurant did Italian and the other Mexican. They appeared to happily swap roles, it was a bit odd to be served pizza by a man in a sombrero. They also advertised a vegetarian pizza with one of the ingredients as 'aborigine'. Either they have seriously misunderstood the concept of vegetarianism and someone needs to alert the Australian authorities, or they've just made a typo and its meant to be 'aubergine'. I reckon the former myself. Then on for a couple of drinks at some beachfront bars, which is very relaxing; however I can't help thinking that you really wouldn't be able to see a tsunami coming in the dark. Hmm, maybe some more beers to block out the anxious thoughts...
