This day began a long, long time ago. Sometime yesterday, to be accurate. After finally running all my errands and visiting with friends, I went home to pack. That didn't take me that long, but by the time it was done, it was midnight....which only gave me an hour to sleep. Of course, I couldn't really sleep, so I just lay awake in bed worrying about sleeping through my alarm - very typical.
I eventually gave up, got dressed and called a cab. After saying goodbye to Ross and Beezus (very hard, since they were both sound asleep, and happily so!) , I headed off to the bus station. The station was essentially deserted until five minutes before the bus arrived. The bus ride to the airport was uneventful - I didn't really sleep though, so I was pretty beat when I got to Pearson.
Once at the airport, it was the usual airport naus....security check, customs etc. I got to my gate and quasi-slept until Kate arrived a couple of hours later. We had a nice breakfast, then got on our flight to Miami, again uneventful.
Basically, the day has been a bit of a blur. Very little sleep, and that that I got was disorienting. We got to the boat in plenty of time, and even had time to take in a bit of sun before the requisite life-boat drills. Fun times! We had a bite to eat, and Kate is now fast asleep in the room while I try to get a reasonably-priced internet connection. It's way more expensive here than I thought it would be! I guess it's that whole satellite business. Boo. Guess there won't be much instant messaging. L
Oh - and I was mistaken....tomorrow we're at sea, and the next day we're in Belize. So our first stop is to a country that I've never been to! That's exciting. Well, guess it's time to head back to the stateroom and find out what Kate is up to.
