Today is my last day in Merida. Tonight I´m heading back to Caracas on the overnight bus. Should be lots of fun, although I have my sweater ready to counter the freezing conditions I expect to be subjected to on the bus.
I´m sad to be finishing my spanish classes....things are going so well!! However, I´m quite sick now, and am looking forward to getting out of here!! This cough is pretty brutal. It kept me up last night, although seems to be doing better at the moment.
For lunch today I decided to try this fried chicken place...´cause we all know how much I love my fried chicken!! Well, it was a bit mistake. The french fries were good, but the chicken was.....to put it bluntly, revolting. It was very very very deep fried, and rock solid, and the inside was a questionable colour. Actually, several questionable colours, none of which I´ve ever seen in cooked chicken before. Ick!! And now my hair smells like a grease trap. Yummy!!
Anyway.....I´m actually looking forward to this overnight bus as they seem to be not too bad here....and they normally play funny stuff on the tv, so that´ll be fun. Then tomorrow is in Caracas, then I fly home on Sunday. Woohoo!!
