What luck - my Spanish teacher is a die-hard Hugo fan. Itīs great, because itīs a nice counter to all the Hugo-hating that goes on in the English media. Today we chatted about the elections (which Hugo will win FOR SURE, according to her...and I tend to agree...even if he doesn't actually get more votes, he'll still be the next President of Venezuela). Then we did the usual back in time stuff. Damn past tense!!

These next few entries might be a little dry, as Iīm staying in one place, learning the language and generally chillinī out. Itīs pretty relaxing, given that class starts at 10:15 and goes until 12:15, then I break for four hours, then itīs back to school at 4 until 6. Pretty good schedule that allows me to take advantage of my mornings to practice some yoga without getting up at an ungodly hour. So thatīs my day in a nutshell...evenings thus far have constituted watching some Spanish news, then some English tv.

The annoying thing is that last night I couldnīt fall asleep! This is very strange...I should have slept like a baby! When I was travelling last time, I could NOT get enough sleep. Bizarre. Maybe this trip is less emotionally draining and therefore less exhausting. Dunno. Or maybe Iīm just drinking too much coke. haha.

Costs for the day: 25$ for the hotel, 2$ for breakfast (yummy fruit stuff...Youīd love it, Sandra!), 6$ for lunch (chicken and rice...boring but safe). Iīm assuming Iīll eat again for dinner, but prolly not much.
