Despite feeling quite a bit better today, I was pretty much a prisoner in my hotel room for the better part of two and a half days. On Thursday, I showed up to an hour of Spanish before having to leave...I then proceeded to sleep for 24 hours, missing a promised phone call to Ross :(. I felt a bit better when I woke up, but still quite dizzy and a little feverish. I missed another day of Spanish, but managed to eat some food in the afternoon and get online to send off a few emails. Generally a sad day, made worse by the fact that all I had to read was my book (Kerouac) and a Cosmo.

I really liked the spanish school (for the short time that I was there) and Xela was a really fun city, although quite cold...and apparently it gets worse in the winter.

However, one of the things I will NOT miss about the place I stayed (Don Diego´s) was one of the other guests....a crazy Texan who I´m sure had turretts (sp). He made crazy chicken noises at all hours of the day...but the best part by far was the morning wake-up. He got up at 6, and had the most horrendous smokers cough I have ever heard..and would start the day by dry wretching outside our rooms. It was something, let me tell you!!!

Costs for the day: 4.5$ for the room, and 70 cents for food. (Yeah...cheap day!)
