Ensenada is not what I expected. Lonely planet has the annoying habit of making every hole in the wall sound like paradise. Not to say that Ensenada is a hole in the wall, but it's really not my style. It's pretty big, and hugely touristy, but still pretty nice. Although people here are cool and seem to really enjoy my Spanish. I'm surprised at how much spanish I actually speak! This one lady was speaking to me in English but I didn't understand her, so I got her to switch to Spanish and all was well. That was a huge surprise. To both of us. haha.

Instead of staying here, I'm going to catch an overnight bus to San Ignacio. I'm trying to speed things up to get to Mexico city by the 16th of September in time for the Independence Day parade. So I've got a few more hours to wait until the bus....what else can I do in this town? I've already walked the majority of the tourist areas, and I'm a little concerned with venturing too far North...but I guess I have to get back to the bus station sometime....


Right....well, that's it for now! I hope this bus isn't the nightmare I'm anticipating it to be. They sell a lot of prescription drugs around here...maybe sleeping pills would be fun. Okay, another bad idea.
