Saying goodbye to everyone was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. I didn't realize what a great social network I'd established in Kingston until it was time to leave it.

I found out last night that my friends all have a little pool guessing how long I'll actually be gone. I'm not sure I really like this idea....it seems to me that they don't have a lot of faith in my travelling abilities! You guys suck! Anyway....I think the smart money is with Heather - she guessed I'll be back around tax time. haha. She sure knows how much I don't like to part with my money!

Following an amazing salmon dinner (you've really embraced domesticity, Greg!) we went out to the Rex to listen to some jazz and have a pint. Heather, I had a 50 for you!

Now I'm in Toronto enjoying free wireless and updating the blog and taking care of a few last-minute details. Tomorrow I'm having breakfast with Erika and then getting on the plane for San Diego. I can't believe that it's time to go - it's been so long in the planning stages!

What? You weren't expecting your friends to cover their sadness at your departure with sarcastic commentary? Have you met us?
