"Every day I get up and look through the Forbes list of the richest people in America. If I’m not there, I go to work."

That pretty much sums up this last month :) Lots of work, work, work!!!  Adam has been in Phoenix, Oklahoma City, New Mexico, and everywhere in between and I have been out and about doing appointments just about every day in the DFW vicinity, Austin, and San Antonio.  Fun stuff I tell you!

In between we squeezed in a little bit of fun.  In the beginning of the month we check out some restaurants around the area of our apartment, a hibachi place and 5 guys burgers and fries.  On top of that we spent some time putting some things in the apartment.  We got a washer and dryer and I have been planting flowers all over our place.

Last weekend we had to drive down to San Antonio to run a blitz for work so we stopped at a wine tasting on the way back.  It was called Dry Comal Creek.  It was a cute little place, and you got 11 tastings for $10 dollars.  Along with that they had some crackers and jelly, chocolate, and seasoned crackers to accent in the wine.  Very good :)  After the last tasting, you have to take a shot of sauvignon blanc with a sweet jalapeno pepper in.  For those of you that know Adam, this was quite a feat for him to choke down anything spicy.  He did a pretty good job.  That night we stopped at a place called Spirit Grille around our apartment and played some pool, shuffle board, Monopoly Deal, and he played some Golden Tee.  You could pretty much say it was our game-a-thon.  We ate some wings and went home.

In Wrigley News, he got a much needed hair cut, as you can see from a before and after picture below.  Also, he's getting neutered and micro chipped on Friday.  He probably won't be to happy but it is much needed!  And I guess he's been getting plenty of exercise lately!  Adam and I have been making it a priority to take a few more walks.  We realized it is a nice "lifestyle" change here. Everyone loves being outdoors and finding active stuff to do here.  I can't wait until it warms up a bit, I really want to go kayaking!

And lastly, I'll leave you with a few silly laws that were brought to my attention to research by a Texas native...a little crazy!

  • It is illegal to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing.
  • A recently passed anti crime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed.
  • It is unlawful for a person to consume an alcoholic beverage while operating a motor vehicle upon a public roadway, if the person is observed doing so by a peace officer.
  • The entire Encyclopedia Britannica is banned in Texas because it contains a formula for making beer at home.
  • When two trains meet each other at a railroad crossing, each shall come to a full stop, and neither shall proceed until the other has gone.
  • It is illegal to drive without windshield wipers. You don't need a windshield, but you must have the wipers.
  • You can be legally married by publically introducing a person as your husband or wife 3 times.
  • A city ordinance states that a person cannot go barefoot without first obtaining a special five-dollar permit.
  • It is illegal for one to shoot a buffalo from the second story of a hotel.
  • It is illegal to milk another person's cow.
