  • The name "Oklahoma" comes from the Choctaw words "okla," meaning "people," and "humma," meaning "red." Literally translated, the name means "red people.

Since the beginning of November, Adam and I have been in OKC.  Were staying at the Candle wood Suites again.  This hotel has less amenities but it has a bigger room.  We figured that'd be fine since Adam has been working almost every day, very long days, and I have 2 long promotions set up and a 3rd short one.  Wrigley doesn't mind it either.
The closest places to our hotel is called Biggin's.  We like to go there and get Chips and Salsa and play the trivia game.  Its the same trivia game that we had in Green Bay, where there is a "who wants to be a millionaire" type game, a know the difference game, and also a game called clock teasers, where you have to know these crazy facts.  We beat the people that set the recored over three years ago.  So I challenge you all to go play! :)I started my first 10 day promotion on Nov 3rd.  I'm selling fudge, lol.  It sounds pretty funny but its very convenientntfor traveling around.  Adam helped me set everything up in Sam's Club.  It lasted 10 days, I finished yesterday.  I
sold 1000 boxes, so it went well.
Other than that, Adam took me out to Melting Pot for my birthday on the 10th.  It was nice.  We made it all the way to
the 3rd course but had to take a rain check for dessert.  Then after that we went to A place called the Rodeo.  They had
a live band called Low Cash Cowboy.  It was pretty neat, when they were singing, one of the band members came and
reached out to "bump" fists with Adam.  Later on they sang Happy birthday to me and another girl, and we got to go on
Stage.

They also have an area in OKC called Bricktown.  Its a nice little area, that is were the Melting Pot was.  We plan on
going down there to explore the day before Thanksgiving.

Today's my first day off so I'm going to take Wrigley to the dog park, he's had a lot of energy the last few days.  And then
I'm going to do a little shopping :)  Adam's in El Paso, I dropped him off at the airport yesterday.  He has some collections
to do and then he will be in Phoenix and back late Wednesday night.  Wednesday night I already have to set up for my next
show.

Other Random OK facts:
OKC Is the 30th largest city in the US
The median household income is $35,000, among the lowest in the nation, however the cost of living is also among thelowest in the nation.

Those who snuck over the boundaries the night before the Land Run to claim the area around OKC are known as "Sooners:
"Sooners" are also the big basketball team around here.
