Where I stayed
The last week we didn't get to explore too much because we had to go to El Paso Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for Adam's work. El Paso is about 8 hours away. Yuck. But, on Tuesday we did go to a cute little joint called Candlelight. Its prefect because its a wine and coffee bar, and they also sever food. They have tables for a dinning room, but they also have couches and chairs that still make it feel like a cafe. The food portions aren't big, but thats good because the prices aren't very expensive either. They have an outdoor patio which is nice for us too because we can bring the dog. They also have a little shelf with games and books. I had a cappuccino and then a glass of Birds and Bees Sweet red wine, it was pretty good but almost too sweet for me
Heres a link to their website: http://www.candlelightsa.com/
Sunday Wrigley and I woke up and went for a walk to Star bucks. We walked 1.8 miles there and 1.8 miles back. Then when I got back Adam and I went to watch the Packer game. We found a Sports cafe down by the River walk. We decided to walk there too. We walked 1.4 miles there, eat some lunch and watch the game, and walk the 1.4 miles back. Ive been lucking out with menu choices. There I had a vegetarian pita and it was delicious as well. It came with fresh made potato salad, and a side of avocado ranch, that tasted more like a cool, cucumber sauce.
The river walk is a gorgeous area. Were definitely going back sometime this week. It is an awesome little area about 2.5 miles long with shops, restaurants, and unique things all along a little river that is paved nicely with stones, bridges, live music, and the like. You can also buy tickets and take a little boat ride down the river.
I finished the day by going shopping at whole foods
Today I think Wrigley and I are going to go to the dog park, and walk on the trails after, while I listen to my Spanish on the phone. Adam and I found some discount tickets for a ghost tour in San Antonio that starts at 9 and is a 90 minute walking tour, so we will probably be doing that sometime this week. I'm excited to do that since its October, unique, cheap, and different.
This weekend I have promos to do on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and Adam might have to go to Oklahoma City.
Lastly, the weather in San Antonio has been perfect and gorgeous. You can tell its the beginning of fall here. Its crisp and cool in the morning, but it gets nice and warm and sunny in the afternoon. I don't know how I survived in WI when 50 degrees seems chilly here!!
And I have to leave you with a cute little Halloween Joke forward I got from Grandma:
How are pumpkin pies made?
(see last picture on bottom :) ) Happy Halloween!!!
