Cotton Tree Caravan Park

Throughout our trip we've avoided having to book ahead but with several friends in town for the Noosa Multisport Festival we booked a week in our favourite town in Oz from the 27th of Oct. The only problem with that was that we arrived on the Sunshine Coast four days early so we went a little further south and booked into the Cotton Tree Caravan Park on the banks of the Maroochy River to soak up a few days before coming back to Noosa.

I believe one of the true tests a of a families resilience is their ability to cope when living in confined spaces for extended periods of time, while I'd admit we've had our moments the experience has brought us closer as a family (literally) and has made us all a little more understanding of each others needs which has made our family a tighter unit. We've been looking for ways to display "the love" and we found the perfect way with a "My Family" sticker, which sits on the back window of the car. You would think this would be an easy task but the very thing that we thought would display our unity almost divided the family as nobody could agree on the caricature that symbolizes each others personality. After three visits to the shop and several tears later we agreed on our stickers, the configuration they would sit on the car and the family was once again united. The following day while admiring our stickers Tan and I couldn't help laughing at the subliminal message it displayed with Tan running away from the family and me riding away.

Tans sister Jodie lives just up the road from Maroochydore at Coolum, and not too long after arriving here Jode was down with her son Jed to spend the day at the park and along the river. Cohen and Jude have been asking when are we going to see Jed since the start of the trip and especially since arriving in Qld about two months ago, finally we could tell them, today, which made for two very happy four year olds. The three boys made the most of their day together, playing at the park, paddling in the river and running around the caravan park which made the long wait worthwhile and one they'll remember for a while, for Tan and I it was great to catch up with Jodie who seems really settled in Queensland and hasn't missed the cold Victorian winter, much the same as us.

The rest of our time in Maroochydore was spent on the river, swimming at the pool next door to the caravan park and just enjoying the sunshine along the foreshore between Maroochydore and Mooloolabah. We leave Maroochy relaxed ready to throw ourselves into as many events as we can at Noosa before catching up with friends afterwards.

SUMMERS CARAVAN PARK REPORT:

Cotton Tree Caravan Park  8/10

A really nice council run park right beside the river where we spent a lot of time. This park had the most modern toilet block I've ever seen ( dad called it the super block).

COOPERS AMAZING FACT:

( I'm struggling here)

Maroochydore is the sixth town mentioned in the song, " I've been everywhere".

COHEN AND JUDES BIG THINGS.

We had a really BIG day with our cousin Jed.
