Good day mates! We are in Australia! We arrived to warm sunny beautiful weather. Our hostel is in an interesting part of the city called King's Cross. It is a cross of Vegas and the east side. The hostel itself is a huge pink mansion that was converted to a hostel. It is so exciting! We have our own room with a t.v.
We did not luck out on the weather our first few days here. Raining and drury. We used that time to go to the Sydney Aquarium. It is amazing. It is set in Darling Harbour which is a ferry ride from central Sydney. There is an enourmous shark tunnel and seal tunnel. I am very nervous to snorkel now that I know all of what is truly down under.
We also climbed the Harbour Bridge. It was a 2.5 hour expedition. We put on special climbing suits and a belt which secured us to the bridge and we climbed to the top. It is much like climbing to the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is an awesome view of the harbour and of the opera house. Coincidentally, our climb occurred on Australia Day (which is Australia's bday and a very big deal)

. There was alot of action in the harbour and news crews buzzing over our heads in helicopters.
We have also shopped. What a surprise right! there are several great markets, which we completely explored. Many things were shipped home.
Finally middle to late week our weather improved, so we hit the beach. Melissa is now a professional surfer. NO not really. But we are professional surfer watchers. We went to Bondi Beach and Manly Beach. Stunning. We have become a bit less pasty. Tans are in progress. We will have pictures as soon as I finish this memory stick. Tomorrow it is onto our Contiki tour.
By the way "Foster's is piss" say the Australians. We miss you, thank you for all the comments and for checking our blog!

Aussies hate Chapelle.
You should start a rumor, like, that we Americans blame the Aussies for the loss of the Dave Chapelle show. Like: 'Comedy central says Chapelle refuses to do another show, but we Americans know that this is part of you Aussies' plan, right? RIGHT? (and get in their face)'
