So we are in Brittany, the poorest part of France and to tell you the truth, this town is just strange. The people literally walk around like zombies and they say bizarre things.... we have found it better to just downcast your eyes and ignore them...

Pete and I had a much needed rest day, where we just bummed about and played tennis. We also discovered this suitable little place called Flunch. A cheap buffet dinner place, our saving grace, as food can be pricey in France and an all-you-can-eat suits Pete's stomach and never-ending hunger.

From here we went north to a town called Saint Malo and from there went to Mont St Michel. Amazing ! It is this island dedicated to an Abbey, a huge church built in 1060 by the monks who lived there, and it just has a whole island to itself and a population of 38 - a whole island for a church! And the island has one of the most extravagant changing tides, 17 meters! It was covered in water one hour and the next hour we could walk along the bottom of the ocean. Just simply beautiful ! A perfect day !
