Very cold caves

Went to the tiny Alpine town of Werfen (about 40 minutes from Salzburg) to climb some ice caves. Think of Jenolan Caves - covered in 25metre thick ice. It is the biggest underground glacier! It was, for the second time this trip, a time that I have seen something very close to perfection. In the end you are up 1836metres and that means a lot of climbing. I have discovered I detest and am frightened of really high cable cars.... just that cable protecting you from a very big drop.... hm not my cup of tea
So I did a lot of climbing and walking, there are over 1400 steps in the caves and most of them are vertical and uphill.
Beautiful sights though....
Oh and did I mention it reaches below freezing point at the very top of the cave??? Thanks for those hand warmers Rhiannon :)
Sorry the photos are dodgy, but it is very dark inside. Only a strip of magnesium guiding the way...
