We had decided that we had done enough lazing about in Tolu (tho there is nothing wrong with that of course) and we had been recommended an Island hopping tour that takes you to an archipelago not from from Tolu.

The cost was $35,000 COP which was really cheap, we soon found out why as the boat was quite large but we were all packed in like sardines.

We finally got underway and we have gone maybe 50 feet when we turned around and headed back to port. Unfortunately as we cleared the breaks and entered the marina the boat got stuck on a sand bank and a group of men had to wade out to us (it was only knee deep) to help dislodge the boat. We thought there was something wrong with the engine but it turned out that one of the elderly gentlemen aboard had some health concern.

Once he was off the boat we were underway! The crossing was rather bumpy as the boat was fast over the waves and we all got pretty wet from the spray but it was alot of fun.

The tour took us to the following islands - Isle Palma, Titipan, Mucure, Islote & Isle Panda

Most we just admired from the boat however the nicest Island -- Isle Islote we stooped at for 4 hours.
The island was like paradise, white sand beaches, turquoise water, coral, fish, coconuts and Pina Colodas in the Coconuts as well as jewelry, pearls and handcrafts for sale.
The locals were friendly and happy to show off their freshly caught lobster or fish.

We had an awesome day just relaxing, swimming and drinking by the water, it was a nice way to end a very chilled and relaxing week before heading to Cartagena and partying it up once again.
