I'm sure if you all have been following the news but a few weeks ago on July 9th there was a shooting outside of the American Embassy in Istanbul, Turkey (my next port). We were assured that everything was under control and a Radical Islamic group had already taken responsibility and we were still on course. However, last night at 10 p.m. there was another attack where two bombs went off in a square in Istanbul killing 17 and injuring over 150. Because of this attack we have rerouted and are off to another country, we have not been told where we are headed, all we do know is right after the announcement our ship turned right around. I'll try and keep you all posed with new developments.
