After two days of traveling and only a few hours of sleep, we were very happy to arrive at our hotel and get settled in. We resisted the temptation to sleep right away and went out for dinner with the group. We didn't linger and headed back to our rooms for some much needed sleep. Mykelti and Averaan were sleeping before their heads hit the pillows. Although it felt like daytime to our bodies, the kids got 10 hours sleep and I got about 8, waking up at 4 AM local time. This sleep prepared us for some trips around the city today (Thursday, 17th) to shop for supplies in preparation for Smokey Mountain VBS tomorrow. We walked down streets bustling with Jeepneys, motorcycles and bicycles - at our own risk! Wow was it crazy. And it felt like we were in a parade. Apparently we stood out like - well, like foreigners. The locals smiled, waived and said hello, they were very welcoming. We took our first ride in a Jeepney to dinner at the mall.

I'm glad to hear that you have all made it safely!! Averaan and Sulli, the class misses you already :) We will be keeping up with the blog and pictures but the class is really excited about skyping. I hope you boys are having a great time so far and getting alot of homework done :)
