Where I stayed
Our first day of driving home went well. It is considerably less exciting to drive home than it is to be headed out on vacation.
We wanted to drive for a couple more hours but we found that we were getting tired and the kids had numb-bum-ness. After trying one hotel (they were full, they said because of an army conference in town) we found the Sleep Inn had a room for us.
Cracker Barrel was the choice for our dinner. We decided to give it another chance because we knew our first experience wasn't bad because of the restaurant, but rather the patrons who were there at the time. It was a good meal and we found some great deals in the clearance section of the store. :D
In the morning we discovered that the army was definitely in town. We ate breakfast surrounded by camoflauge (or "hammerflauge" as Asheton says).
