The contrast is shocking. Behind us is a small 'village' where the kids live on the sand road, the houses are made of clay and cardboard and women are trying to cook a fish and some rice on a wood fire. The small town, just a couple of kilometers past Metembe has no name, and there are a maybe two hundred people living a primitive fisherman existence. It would have been an idyllic destination if not for the 'resorts' that separate the small village from the beach and rocky shores with walls and gates.
