Today is a day of relaxing, no specific itinerary, just go with what the day brings us. Sort of a travelers' Sunday you might say. We woke up late and did a little research on where to go next. A bit of google, tripadvisor and of course booking.com. Around noon we went out to buy some bread for the nice snacks that we had picked up yesterday. No such luck, as both bakeries in town were closed for the lunch break (form 12:00 till 16:00). So without bread we decided to have an early lunch at the market square. We stranded at the restaurant 'Le Grenadin' and were surprised by some amazing food. Linda had the lunch special, a very nice garden salad, a fall off the bone turkey leg, and an apple pie for dessert. I had a carpaccio and a home made chocolate mousse. Everything tasted fantastic and we were amazed by the quality of this local little restaurant. After lunch we walked around the picturesque town of Grenade for a bit to make some photos.

Later in the afternoon we enjoyed our snacks as we got some bread from the bakery. Nice duck pate, Serrano ham and a bottle of nice wine. For this we needed an opener. That sounds easier than it is in Villa Leopoldine. As the Hotel is really small, there is no one at the reception. There should be someone from 08:00 till 19:00, but it turned out that this was not the case. When we tried to call to ask for a wine opener there was no answer. So we called the phone number that we used for the reservation. We got connected with someone from the hotel that told us that someone would be there a couple of hours later. Thats no good when you want to open a bottle of wine. We ended up taking our bottle into town to a small delicatessen store. The friendly owner opened the bottle for us with a smile, so at last we were able to enjoy our snack.

Later that evening we decided to go back to 'Le Geraldine' for dinner. We figured it was worth a second visit as we were really impressed with the food. Again the food was delicious and we enjoyed our evening tremendously.

Well fed and watered, we retreated to our room, tomorrow is a long drive, over the mountains, to SPAIN!.
