Efteling, a theme park in the south of Holland. The ideas of Anton Pieck converted into roller coasters a fairytale forest and some other rides. The place is not too big, about the same size as Disney Paris I guess. But the quality of the park is unexpectedly high. There is a lot of attention for detail, and the way people are routed is efficient. Today the park is open from 10:00 till midnight. Thank god they start at 10, that is not too early.

We had our buffet breakfast (included with the room) and headed out. We see the big traffic jam on the road in front of the Hotel. Luckily the park is only 2 KM from the Hotel, so we are there in a jiffy. Poor people that need to drive two or more hours with anxious kids in the back seat, to arrive in a big traffic jam, and have to wait for another hour to get to the parking lot.

Quentin had the day planned out, first we went into the Piranah (a wild water attraction) where I got soaked. Then we had to go into the rowing boats, after that some other boats, then in the Pagoda (some attraction that give you a view of the entire park). After that we had to go to 'Droomvlucht'. A ride that takes you flying through the land of elfs and trolls. Then we had to go to 'Panda Droom', a 4D movie that shows some nature scenery (sponsored by World Wildlife Fund). And after all that we had to get into some pirate ship carousel. We finished the day off with some ball throwing and shooting. Luckily Quentin does not like roller coasters or other thrill rides, otherwise we would be spending the day in long queues. But still we spent quite some time in queues, and after more than 8 hours in the park. We were tired, all of us. When we left the park, around 17:00, people were still arriving, unbelievable.

After giving our feet some rest at the Hotel, we headed out to dinner in town. We found a pizza place, nothing too fancy. Quentin watched as they prepared his Margarita Pizza. We quickly ate, and headed back. It was a intense day, so we all slept like little piggies.
