This place is named after the wind from the North, that normally soars through the valley. But not today, another beautiful sunny day in Alaska. After our late breakfast at the buffet we headed out at noon to catch the legendary White Pass & Yukon Railroad. We boarded our authentic 100 year old steam train and enjoyed a beautiful ride op the White Pass (2800ft high). The views from the cart were amazing and at the end of the track near lake Yukon we had a nice glass of bubbly wine. After the ride up the train turned around and brought us back down again. Back in Skagway we explored the town, this takes no more than 15 minutes as the town is very small and filled with the usual tourist shops. We had a small sandwich and a coffee at the local starbucks/jewelery/tourist shop and headed back to our floating city (which has probably more guests than all of Skagway has residents). Later that day we watched a Broadway alike show in the ships theater and had our dinner in the main restaurant.
