Stage one booked

We did it, booked our first stage of the trip!. We are starting in style with a cruise down from Anchorage to Vancouver on a ship called the Millennium (not falcon though). Strangely the local travel agent here on Bermuda had a better price than one of the biggest Cruise discount sites. But hey we are not complaining. We will be camping in cabin 7185 on the 'port' side for 7 nights. We hope to see a lot of cool stuff, and we hope it wont be too cool :). Next we have to figure out what to do on a cruise. This is our first time so no idea what to expect. Apparently it's all about eating, well we'll see.

Our itinerary will be:

Fri, Jun 04, 2010 Seward, Alaska
Sat, Jun 05, 2010 Hubbard Glacier (Cruising)
Sun, Jun 06, 2010 Juneau, Alaska
Mon, Jun 07, 2010 Skagway, Alaska
Tue, Jun 08, 2010 Icy Strait Point, Alaska
Wed, Jun 09, 2010 Ketchikan, Alaska
Thu, Jun 10, 2010 Inside Passage (Cruising)
Fri, Jun 11, 2010 Vancouver, British Columbia

Our next challenge will be to figure out how to rent a car to drive from Vancouver to Denver, we checked some rental companies, but the rates for one way trips are freaking expensive. Some people say its cheaper to rent a car for shorter periods of time and change cars during the trip. For some reason drop off at some locations would be cheaper than others. We will investigate!
