I got a lot to tell ya! But don't have a lot of time at the mo... not got many pennies on this PC. But just to let ya know I'm safe and well and am in FREEEEEZING New Zealand (not half as cold as it's gonna get though), and about to do my skydive tomorrow- I think! Dead excited about that. But I do reckon it's about -20degrees up there...? I might come back a frozen statue!
I had a great time in Cairns with Kate- we got on so well, it was wicked. We had our same little routine everyday... get up, walk to cafe, buy a $4 wrap and sit and sunbathe all day down at the wonderful lagoon. We'd go out now and again, but not every night!
I had a horrible journey connecting at Sydney (now I know what all my business travellers were moaning about! I'd never done a connecting flight before... they're a right pain in the arse!). What I didn't understand was, what was a 2 and half hour flight to Sydney, and a 3 hour flight to Auckland, why was my door to door trip 16 hours?!?!? I was up at 3am on Thursday morning, didn't arrive at my hostel in Auckland until half 7 in the evening. What a joke! I was fully k.o.ed.
Some people say it's hard to adjust when travelling from Thailand to Australia... I didn't find it too bad- I AM finding it hard from OZ to here. It is COMPLETELY different. It reminds me of Wales or Scotland. Lol. I think the south island will be better though- bit more scenic down there. Still bluddy cold up here though!
I'm travelling everyday on the Magic bus. Fully, completely different to my Greyhound experiences. This is an actual tour bus, and stops everyday for hours on end to do activities. So if you aint got the money to be active, you sit and wait while everyone else does it. I'm doing my skydive tomorrow though, all being well with the weather. I'm not scared at all! Something I've ALWAYS said I'd wanted to do. Bungi? No way. But I want to fly and I guess a skydive is my best experience for that. So yar, me Magic bus is a little tour bus and we pretty much have the same driver all the way. They talk alot- commentating on the surroundings. They tell us not to fall asleep, as they only have day buses for a reason, and that so we can see the country.
Anyway! Gotta shoot! Time running low!!!
Will update soon!
And see ya soon!!! Woooohoooo.
xxxxxxxxxx
PS. Whenever I meet anyone saying they're on their way home, I get jealous so that's how I know I'm ready. Lol.
