Where I stayed
We only had two nights in Warsaw and I am still a little on the sick side after eating the rich food of Belaruss that was not on my diet! Our first day we set off to find to old city. We discovered the Buddy Bears. We spent a long time sitting with the girls running around trying to find certain countries before one another.
We walked around the old city and came back to our hostel in hopes of finding a grocery store that was open. Alas no luck. We ate in a great restaurant and I had plain chicken and veggies. Yum. No sarcasm here - this in within the restrictions of my diet and tasted excellent.
Day two in Warsaw we visited the palace. Before we left for the day we met some girls in the courtyard of our hostel. It is shared with a school and some of the girls came and sat on the bench across from Siggy, Pelly and myself. They said something in Polish and we told them that we didn't speak Polish only English and French. They said "Sarah speaks English!" We proceeded to converse with them telling Sarah what to say and her telling them our responses. It was fun. We ate ice cream - again something I am can eat believe it or not. It went down very nicely. We found a grocery store and I made mashed potatoes with cheese and broccoli for dinner. We all enjoyed a "home cooked meal" We are off to Krakow tomorrow.
