It was our last day and we decided to have a chilled day so we could gather some strength for the flight and Hong Kong. We decided to go back to Harajuku to buy some small Japanesey souvenirs from Kiddyland (I got a little Miffy jack plug in for my phone, taking pride of place this very moment and a Bambi notebook :D) but not before we had breakfast- which was a mission in itself! After discovering a bakery in Kyoto doing lovely pastries and croissants etc, we decided this was the best way forward as noodles first thing just wasn't an appetising idea! After searching for a bakery on our hostel map for about half hour we gave in to Starbucks... which I in no way regret as my sausage omelette muffin was delicious!

On our return to the hostel we got our things together and set off for Narita.
We decided our last stay should be near the airport for ease of travel (10 mins away). I couldn't be more happy with the result, the hostel is a really cute one with slippers and paper walls -quite traditional! We also sat in the communal area and chatted to a couple of Japanese guys, one who is learning English (rather well and showed us our names in Japanese) and the other on an engineering internship for a week at the airport. There was also a guy born and bred Seattle but actually lives in Japan now (he showed us his sumo attempts at a regional festival on youtube) and an Irish guy who I suspect has a lady friend out here from the way he spoke about being back and forth for months at a time over past several years.

We also had our first travelling earthquake- not to panic though was magnitude 4 in a different area so was only a slight movement, soo slight me and Steph didn't know it happened until we were told!

Anyway off to bed as early start for flight!
