So after an eventful dash and panic at T5 to out gate before it closed (buying pub chips almost made us miss our flight!) we were on our way to Japan. The flight was tiring and unrestful - it seems even with the best leg room spot in cattle class I still can't sleep on the plane, and a random cabin crew guy was convinced I was staff or knew me somehow and liked my socks- some right oddballs on BA, ey dad?:P

So anyway arrived early and managed to get our train into Tokyo using our JR Rail Cards - rather an expense at about 220 but turned out very much to worth it with cost of travelling here! After arriving in an aching sweat from the backpacks we checked in and went out to have a little look around before turning in. We checked out a very local temple - Sensoji Temple and then headed to Shibuya to see the scramble crossing from a great view in Starbucks (whilst enjoying a mango smoothie, naturally!).

With our sleep deprivated, heat shocked bodies we headed back to the hostel, chatted briefly to an american, canadian and german guy on where is and isn't good to go then finally turned in.
