Namaste!
Oh dear the language classes started this morning and things are not going to be easy. Yesterday we learned about the political situation which explains the heavy millitary presence, the king, the caste system and the marriage system. Which being a Western girl I did not always agree with. It was all very interesting and some facts were very shocking. The language class how ever is very different. It reminds me of being in Mrs Gormleys french class at school (Donna & Debbi you remember) we even got given jotters to take notes and a phrase book which will come in handy with the fight to get cheap souviners. It can become quite confusing at times as we have a Scottish, Danich and German student, you can imagine the laugh our teacher Hom gets with the accents and the pronunciation. Don't think I'll be fluent at the end of this but I'll try. This afternoon is cooking Dhal Baht with Tyson our cook which sould be fun, its to improve our Nepali and his english but he's an excellent cook.
