I was on Spring Break last week which is why I've been M.I.A. The week before that I started my "new" teaching job so I was at school longer. I spoke with the director and asked if I could switch positions because the only Spanish I was learning with kindergarten was, 'sit down' 'stop talking' 'no hitting' etc..Now I help Annette in the mornings with her English lessons to pre-school up to 2nd grade. I get to sing songs like Itsy Bitsy Spider and Head and Shoulder Knees and Toes! In the afternoon I work with the other English teacher, Jessica with 3rd to 7th grade. With the older kids I take a group of 4-10 students and teach my own lesson, which is a lot of fun. I was talking to one of the girls in 6th grade and found out they do have a soccer team! I told her that I like to play so she invited me to practice last Friday. There's only one coach for the guys and girls so he has the girls on one side of the field and the guys on the other and runs back and forth to conduct drills. He  definitely needs some help so im gonna start helping him coach the girls team!! Now that my spanish lessons are over Ill have something to do in the afternoons! Wednesday was a teachers-in-service day so I finally got to go out with everyone on Tuesday. (see pictures) Other projects aren't as demanding as mine so everyone goes out all the time, but I can't since I have to wake up at 5!! I took a tequila shot with my Spanish class and after that my Spanish was reeeaaall good! :) Actually, I think after that we were just all mumbling so it didnt really matter which language u were speaking. The weekend before Spring Break me and my roommates, (I got a new one from Ohio, Jessie) went to Manuel Antonio beach. Our hostel was set on a hillside so we had a really good view overlooking the ocean. It was some guys 30 bday so the owner cooked dinner for everyone if you pitched in a few bucks. He cooked marlin; potatoes; corn and plaintains! It was the best meal ive had since ive been here and it was only $5! Ive never had marlin before nor have I ever seen it on a menu but it was really good. We were supposed to meet a local Tico in town but we missed the last bus so we just hung out with everyone at our hostel.  Sunday morning i ate breakfast while watching the monkeys play in the trees!
