Our vehicles arrived into Melbourne by ship from Calcutta in late January and we have been home in Adelaide for 5 months now and found it a little difficult getting into the thrust and parry of work.

It was great to see our family and friends especially our gorgeous new grandson, Jack. I realised I was getting quite homesick.

Our cats didn't seem any worse for wear after their 6 month holiday luxuriating at my parent's home, in fact they looked positively fat and well groomed. I hope I can keep up the standard from here on in. They didn't seem too excited about seeing me again. Oh well, that's cats for you.

I have been a little unsettled since we arrived home and have been reliving our exciting adventure across 3 continents in my mind. We have been lucky enough to be able to share some aspects of our journey at various clubs with guest speaking spots, and have enjoyed it all the more for the telling of it.

It has been such an education for us, one I would strongly recommend. Travel is a great broadener. There is so much to see and experience in this big wide world which is so different to our own culture, and there's a fair bit of risk involved too. I feel quite brave having left my comfort zone and conquered my fears to explore my world. I have lived through the dangers and am thankful for the knowledge I have gained.

I look forward to our next foray into some other countries I have not yet explored. In the meantime, I will now continue to upgrade this site with interesting photos which I did not have time to add whilst on our dash through many countries, and I will add to my text where possible.
