After a quick march though Germany (which we'll be going through again later) we found ourselves on the island of Fyn Denmark. It's not very big so we had to start looking for a camp site early. We were fortunate to wind up at a place called "Base Camp" which we thought was a sea-scout unit when we asked if we could stay on their gravel driveway overnight.
In the morning Ola (?spelling) informed us it is a home for 16 boys and girls aged 13-18 years and their carers. Their website is www.opholdssted.dk . We were invited in for coffee when we went over to give our traditional thanks (in koala and kangaroo key rings and pencils) and ended up playing a few games with the kids. Nice kids too! And their hugger Issa was obviously very caring.
