Des's birthady was a real treat as we had a large representation of the family at a dinner at The Hanged Man's pub. Thanx to Kitty, Ena, Kit, Troina, Briege, Cathy, Christopher, Sarah, Lou & Lynn for sharing this merry occasion. A BIG thankyou to Gwendolyn for cooking up a storm for us. 'Specially the garlic potatoes.

Time to leave the wonderful hospitality of the Byrnes, we can't thank them enough for the great time we've had at Coilog Nurseries.

We had an enjoyable dinner at The Hermitage Golf Club with Des's uncle Jim, son Paul and his wife Eileen. Even through the lightening, thunder and rain Jim and Paul managed to get us safely through the hair raisingly narrow streets of beautiful Ireland.

It's true what they say about the forty shades of green of Eire, even in the summer it's green everywhere.

The Guinness brewery and the Jameson distillery were a real highlight of our trip through Dublin City. Lou was chosen as a taster at Jameson and was very jolly during the open-air bus trip through the city and Phoenix Park. The ride actually finished on O'Connell St. but the driver enjoyed our company so much he took us all the way to the Dublin train station.

Moving on to the South today.
