Hi everybody, I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up my travelblog page very regularly but we've set such a frenetic pace since we left Adelaide, it's been difficult to get onto the internet at all. I'll log on a few photos soon since we are staying at Des's cousins Kit and Gwen for a couple of days in a beautiful part of country Ireland called Kildare.

We have no complaints about the weather in the Northern Hemisphere so far, save for one very rainy day, which was a good test for the campervan, and it came through with flying colours with only a small amount of water on the bench seats because we hadn't zipped the 'windows' properly; good lesson.

The car, which we finally picked up from the shipping agent on Friday, has been running as expected, very well. We've had a few hiccups with the battery but since we have dual batteries, we've been able to start one from the other. Des is having a new battery installed on Thursday to replace the dodgey one.

Our stay with friends John and Jenny in Rye, England was fabulous. We slept in a luxury room upstairs overlooking Jenny's beautiful garden and watching the playful squirrels trying to pinch the nuts from the bird feeders hanging from the eves. Lucy the 'Yorkie was our constant companion and would have us throwing her ball all day.
