Even thought the bus was 14 hours we were actually quite impressed, the seats recline all the way back and we got a warm meal for dinner and a better breakfast than most hostels provide.

It was Tuesday morning when we arrived in Rosario. It's a really cool city, not too busy but very lived in. On the first two days there we just chilled out, watched football, saw some of the cities sights (there is a shrine to the man that designed the Argentinian flag). On Thursday we went a bit further a field to one of the river beaches, which was empty because apparently the Argentinians don't agree that 18 degrees is beach weather.

We were both in need of some exercise, so Will went out with some of the guys from the hostel to play football. He came back really excited about it because it was at the local stadium where Maradona had played or something. I meanwhile went for a run. We both agreed to do more exercise (although nearly a week later this hasn't happened yet!)

That night we had a assado with some of the people from the hostel, which promised to be good because will came back from the supermarket with a large piece of meat we were sharing with two Australians. It fell a bit flat when someone put one of said Australians in charge of carving the meat and I ended up with just a hulk of fat. Everyone had some more drinks, they have a spirit called Fernet, which we think tastes a bit like mouthwash but apparently everybody loves it after a few glasses.
We all went out to this club, the Argentinans seemed fascinated with us there and we had a few difficult conversations in broken English/Spanish. One of the Argentinian guys accidentally admitted that he was into Glee and spent the rest of the conversation trying to retract the comment, bless.

On Friday we spent the day being a bit hungover. Saturday we got up to leave for Buenos Aires.
